Medvedev has confirmed the amount of grants for 2013 for the purchase of medical supplies
The Prime minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev has confirmed the size of grants offered by the Ministry of Health for the purchase of medical supplies for seriously ill patients, according to the government site. The total amount which will be allocated in 2013 for these purposes is more than one billion roubles ($30 million).
"This order provides the 2013 distribution statement of grants to subjects of the Russian Federation whose size is defined taking into account the number of citizens included in the Federal sick registry with new malignant lymphoid and hematopoietic (and related tissues) growths, hemophilia, viscidosis, pituitary dwarfism, Gaucher disease, multiple sclerosis, and also post- transplantation of organs and/or tissues", - the announcement said.
To oversee the state account and provide these grants for seriously ill patients Olga Golodets has recently been named vice-premier. As she said, in terms of the strategy for the distribution of medicinal care for our citizens the priority will be given to patients with rare oncological and cardiological diseases.
